Created by Chef Salina using Cardinal’s fully-cooked Pulled Pork, these quick and easy gyoza make an excellent addition to any appetizer menu.
Ingredients
- 500 grams Cardinal Meats Pulled Pork w/ Spice
- 7 grams Ginger, zested
- 6 grams Garlic, finely chopped
- 40 grams Green Onions, finely chopped
- 1 gram Black Pepper, ground
- 8 grams Lemon Juice
- 45 grams Egg Whites
- 35 grams Roland Foods Panko Bread Crumbs
- 40 Dumpling Wrappers
Garnish
- 1 bottle Roland Foods Soy Ginger Glaze
- 1 bottle Roland Foods Sesame Oil
- 1 container 230g, Sweet Pea Shoots
Directions
- Mix well together: ginger, garlic, green onions, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Fill dumpling wrappers with 15 to 20 grams of filling.
- Seal edges with water and form to desired shape.
- Place on cornstarch dusted tray. Put into fridge or freezer for a later date.
Cooking Method Options
- Deep Fryer: Fry @ 350°F for 4 to 6 minutes or until golden brown
with an internal temperature of 160°F. - Pan Fried: Preheat non-stick pan to medium with vegetable oil.
Place gyoza and lightly brown bottoms. Add 30 grams of water
and cover with lid. Steam for 5 to 10 minutes. - Steamed: Steam in Bamboo baskets for 15 to 20 minutes until the internal
temperature reaches 160°F.
